The Issus Coleoptratus is a hopping insect with natural gears that help it propel into the air. I decided to design a hopper that takes bio-inspiration from the Issus Coleoptratus. It converts elastic energy from rubber bands into rotational kinetic energy, turning over 360 degrees about the z-axis in the air.
